Not what you think it means...

First night in Tokyo and we had a wee wander out for some food after a log journey from the UK.

Ended up, through complete laziness and beign too afraid to walk into most places, in the "Hub" appropriately enough.

The red lanterns are used in Japan to indicate a drinking / eating establishment - usually beer and sake with tempura or teppanyaki (grilled meats).
