...promenade jetty (extra) and one of many along the Swan River when 'roads and bridges where still to be built' and the 'river became the line of the transport'.

This is the Como Beach jetty, recently re-opened when new timbers replaced some of those of the longest jetty in the Swan River.
The splendid jetty stretched out from a shallow water, safe swimming beach and as late as '1933, men and boys were prohibited from rolling their bathers down to the waist, as it was considered that bare chests would degrade the good reputation enjoyed by the beach'.


No bare chests but dudes promenading.
