Banner Scrap
A day of sport.
First up was rugby as Neath played RGC1404, the North Walian team. We lost 31-18, after playing well in the first half we fell away in the second and hardly got any possession. There was one particular RGC fan who was a right pain in the backside.
In the evening it was ice hockey, the Cardiff Devils versus the new guys Milton Keynes Lightning. We also raised our Championship banners to celebrate the Elite League and Challenge Cup winners from last year. It’s a big ritual in ice hockey and I hope we’re able to raise more banners this time next year, as we look to defend our trophies. We got off to a good start tonight, beating MK 5-2, although we weren’t perhaps at our best after the Champions League.
This blip is the big fight between Andrew Hotham, Cardiff and his former team mate, Carl Hudson who now plays for MK. It was a good old scrap.
