Lake Mahinarangi

Saturday I went with my son and daughter in law down to their crib at Lake Mahinarangi. It is a very modest wee place that they are getting a lot of pleasure from. I had never been down there so was great to see it.
It is an area that has meant a lot to Tracey right back to her childhood when her dad built a crib there and he still owns.
At the moment the lake is very low as has been diminished by A draw off of water for our consuming need for electricity.
The weather was awful rain , hail and a bitterly cold wind but they have a great log fire so didn't go cold.
Boating fishing and canoeing keep them and the boys in the summer time.
No internet or phone contact down there hence the back blips
