Mountain Trail or Trial?

We helped with today's Lake District Mountain Trail, marshalling near Sprinkling Tarn. The weather was horrendous, with very strong winds and torrential rain, but fortunately all the runners got back to base safely. After over four hours on the hill we were very glad of the hot meal we were given back at base!
