one of the loveliest dogs you could meet, and very much treasured by his owner/best mate.
They were having such fun on the beach!

Hachi was named for Hachikō, an Akita dog born on a farm in Japan. He is remembered for going to meet his owner for 9 years - after his loved owner had died; remarkable loyalty. I understand there's a wonderful documentary about Hachikō.
