the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses
somewhere i have never travelled gladly beyond
(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens; only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
e e cummings
Favourite poem for MonoMonday, with thanks to sk for these great themes. I first read this part of e e cummings poem translated in Dutch as a quote in the "Philip and the others (Philip en de anderen)'" novel by Cees Nooteboom as a young teen and fell in love with the way the words evoke feelings while not really making sense if you think about it ;-)
First picture taken today of the salmon pink rose in my bouquet under low light with a darker heart. Changed to a soft sepia/salmon pink mono with the help of Nik SilverEfex and gradient filters in PS Elements.
Thanks very much for your kind comments, stars and even faves for yesterday's peacock butterfly
