The Statue of Fleurette

The Fleurette is a statue of the sculptor Daniel Campagne agenais born in Gontaud-de-Nogaret, near Marmande.

According to the legend of the loves of Henri IV, the gardener's daughter of the king, Fleurette, would have drowned in the Baise grief after her royal lover has abandoned.

The statue was placed in 1896 in a cave in the Parc de la Garenne in Nerac, where the reclining nude is reflected in the basin of the fountain of Saint-Jean.
