That would be me, not the gin. Anyway, her poison was single malt.
My dear late mum adored hydrangeas. I always thought I hated them; no doubt because she loved them. *Sigh*
I now absolutely love their form, tones and colours (these turn a lovely subtle shade of green - if you look carefully...). We've got two now in the woodland border.
I just wish she'd lived to see the day. I can hear her chuckle now.
