Chutney harvest
Between showers we cleared the crabapple tree (its been half-arsed this year that one), got the plums that hadn't already fallen (note to self - a week or two earlier would be best next year) and sent the eldest up the cooking apple tree as he wasn't bending quite as many branches as I was.
The chutney production line started late afternoon and went into the evening. Coring crabapples is not for the lazy chutney maker. Thank god we didn't follow the recipe and peel the buggers too.
