I was planning an easy day today as I was heading to the big smoke (Sydney) tomorrow. At about 6.30am I decided I should go to Maitland to play croquet as 2 weeks ago was my first game in 7 months and I had played badly. So I was away at 7.15am and I planned to take my blip during the morning. It was 7 deg when I left and 30 deg when I got home. I set up a shot at croquet but didn't use it as I decided to take a few mining shots on the way home for my project Rape of our country.
The above is just out of town and the train is being loaded with coal. this is done these days by an operator on a computer as the train shuttles forward. Each carriage would receive exactly the same amount of coal. The carriage is uncovered and coal authorities state that there is no dust coming off the coal during transit and others say that up to 5% of the original load is lost in transit. The coal actually is piled a little higher than the sides of the carriage so the drivers must be whiz kids not to loose anything
Who knows.
