It's a Girl!!

My eyes nearly fell out of my head today when I saw this spectacular arrangement of pink roses at the florist in the Westmead Private Hospital. When I enquired about the roses to the owner of the florist shop she told me the dozens of roses were about to make their way up to the Maternity Ward. "Yes" she said "You guessed it, it's a girl". Wow, I reckon some very proud grandparents must have ordered this lot!

On our way home we called in to one of the "Flower Power" nurseries in Penrith. We spent about 30 minutes wandering around looking at the wonderful display of plants on offer. I don't think there was one plant for sale that would survive a wombat or a wallaby unless it was planted behind a cyclone fence. We decided to purchase a couple of happy African Daisy plants and we're going to see how they go in the veggie patch. That's the veggie patch that's protected by a big cyclone fence. Fancy having to lock up your flowering plants. Those little critters have a lot to answer for :-)
