According to the Consumer Electronics Association, average smartphone life expectancy now reaches 4.7 years. This means if you buy a year-old phone, you could expect to use it for a few more before performance noticeably suffers."
Mine is vastly older, but couldn't attempt to guess its age. 
Which is, basically, the point of this blip, for the record.

Thus far I've managed to fit SIM(s) and stumble blindly into an audio-instruction" mode not dissimilar to the Dalek motto
