Tokyo skyline
<backblip>
Another day in Tokyo - we got up early ( not too difficult with the jet lag) and headed off to the Tokyo fish market, We weren't early enough to see the auctioning, but the varied stalls and market stands all around the place (and the sheer size of it all) made for a very interesting morning.
After a walk around some gardens ( not a temple or shrine this time ) we went out for dinner to a place recommended by the Lonely Planet guidebook. It's a place that specialises in river eels - they're cooked in a shallow pot on a burner at your feet. We were the only westerner's in there yet were warmly welcomed. Thankfully a kind lady next to us helped us out with her excellent English. She was most impressed as she's lived in Tokyo for years and this was her first visti having recently plucked up the courage to give the place a try.
More walking and we came to this view - the tall tower is the Tokyo Skytree whilst the Asahi buulding can be seen to the left - the "golden flame" has a less somewhat less glamourous local name...
