Forever blowing bubbles

I told Asha she could have a treat as tomorrow is the first day of BIG school...she chose 'Marco Donald's', as she thinks it's called, ha! She's a sucker for a happy meal... On the way she was telling me how she's ready for big school now she's 6..."I really am quite big now Mommy."
Lovely to bump into one of our lovely Italian friends, Pino...he of the infamous and delicious 5 course lunch.
Then home to label Asha's school stuff, watch a movie together, natter to a friend who's borrowing the car, feed Nate & pop out to Caña Club. The upset came when Danny messaged saying he was on his way to the airport when Ryanair text saying his flight was cancelled! His options were either to get a refund (but it was a cheap bargain flight anyway), or be rescheduled on the next one...but that wasn't til Thursday!! Long story short, he's forked out a lot of money to be home by 3am ish... He was determined to be there for Asha's first day of school. As my sister said, one day when Asha's bigger, and she realises the cost of money & time it took for Danny to be back for day 1 of school, she'll feel very loved.
The funny thing is, my parents are on a delayed flight home from France, so they're meeting Danny for a quick coffee in the airport before he goes through to board!

The pic is Nate being uncertain of the bubbles Asha was blowing, though he thoroughly enjoyed watching Asha hop around like a loon trying to pop them!

Drama of the day;
Thinking Danny might not be home for another couple of days.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Salt water compresses. The blister was so painful in the night...but even just a few salt water compresses do make a difference. How can something so natural (breastfeeding) feel so UNnatural at times?!
2) Asha's chit chat throughout the day...I've enjoyed hearing the contents of her mind.
3) Danny being able to make it back before school starts.
