Self portrait 2
Today was an exercise in several things. I wanted to :
a/ see if I could mimic a particular lighting style
b/ do it with a bare minimum of kit.
c/ make a better self-portrait
d/ show you my hugely broken hooter.
You can see the also-rans here.
I pretty much did a/ - although I need a much better looking model to really pull it off.
b/ was a resounding success: 1 speedlite in a beauty dish on a stand, one camera on a tripod ( because, you know, who's going to hold it?) and the background is simply my living room door.
c/ I'm not sure of. It's a nicer light for sure, but I don't know if it really says "me". Which the original one does. I guess it shows that I can make even my face look partially acceptable.
d/ just look at it, it's "s" shaped for the love of Mike.
Which reminds me... I realise I promised I wouldn't inflict my face on you again.
I lied. Sorry about that.
Won't happen again...
