Old Faithful

No trip to Yellowstone National Park would be complete without seeing Old Faithful .... the most famous of the 500+ geysers in the Park.
It was named in 1870, when it was noticed that Old Faithful erupted at regular, frequent intervals.
We sat patiently waiting for the eruption of steam and super heated water .... we were not disappointed ...and at about 2pm..... she sprang into action, spewing out her steam and boiling water ....straight up.... to a height of well over100 feet ......into the air!
The performance lasted for nearly 5 minutes....
What a display!
