Goodbye Beautiful Boy

Sadly we had to let Che go this evening - there was just no hope of recovery and he was fading before our eyes. I cradled him in my arms as he died. Too soon my darling, too soon.

What a beautiful beautiful boy. For all his quirks - there were many - we adored him and him us (especially his beloved Dad - he just lit up at the sight of D). We were so so lucky to share his life and I know we gave him a good one filled with the tender love and care he needed.

We're seasoned pet owners. We've been here before, we know... but oh my does it hurt tonight. I feel like my heart has shattered.

And as I write his brother Fidel is filling the house with his bewildered howling...
