Melt

My first ever gig was Peter Gabriel playing at the first WOMAD festival at Shepton Mallet. We drove there in my Girlfriend's Citroen Dyane - on the side of which I had painted Tigger.
I can't remember any of the other acts but PG came on stage surrounded by African musicians and promised not to play anything familiar. Which was obviously disappointing news to us. The only released track that he played was at the end - Biko - from his most recent album.
It was all just great.
