Daddy Bear notes
A twee but effective way of getting small kids to sort out the bass notes from the trebble is the 'Daddy Bear notes' versus 'Baby Bear notes' distinction. I suppose Mummy Bear hovers somewhere around middle C ... but the kids never ask me about her!
