Admiring the dandelions

Headed out into the garden this morning to fill the bird feeders and this tortoiseshell was feeding on a dandelion. He/she was very photogenic and waited wonderfully while I went inside to get the camera :-)

this afternoon I headed to my aunts house for lunch and a walk. My 250 step buzzer went off on my fitbit so I went for a wander down the garden and startled about a dozen admirals into flight. It was a wonderful sight to see them all fluttering around, alas I had left the camera at home knowing I had a blip in the bag already.
