Meditation at ICE

At the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building, I joined members of Buddhist Peace Fellowship and the Interfaith Movement for Immigration Justice in a silent walking meditation around the imposing structure that houses ICE offices and a detention center. We gathered at the Trolley Stop near the building to organize and share. A disturbing piece of information that was shared by R. was that persons are being held after arrest, and that information about them is not being released, although it is legally public information. They are being "disappeared," in a sense, R. said. I found that to be a chilling information.
