Crystal Palace
Had quite a busy day, well more so than usual anyway...
Chris and I took Agnes to Baby Bounce this morning, was lovely to see her engaging a bit more with all the other small children (although she did still spend a fair amount of time chewing on her rattle). We parted ways so Chris could pick up some lighting equipment for the Film festival, from his brother Tim in Kent, while Simon, Agnes and I tried to scout a location in Crystal Palace... evidently Simon did most of the actual scouting as we had already hauled little Agnes up quite a few stairs after misguidedly jumping on the wrong train, and couldn't really fathom the though of getting her up the steps to the second tier of the 'palace'.
We instead went for a bit of a walk around the perimeter which was lovely! So much wide open space. I didn't take too many photos as the weather took a turn for the worse, but the remaining architecture did inspire me to investigate the history of the place. Really fascinating. Unfortunately neither of us happened across the old subway which has an Italian mosaic roofing that we were looking for (have since googled). Potentially quite hard to navigate anyway as it has been closed to the public since the 1990's. Might have to try another day though!
