Whats up with the kids?
Ellen teaches Art at a local secondary school. She is committed and conscientious.
Some days she comes back home and gets on with whatever the evening has in store. Job done, time to get on with life.
Some days she comes back talking about a good lesson (which is always something which engages the kids with some good creative output). Or a new take on some very familiar artists. Or talking about one of many future possibilities.
Some days she comes back with tales of a particular discipline issue. I just have to listen.
Some days she comes back with more general tales of pupil misbehaviour as if they had conspired together to make life as difficult as possible through collective low level nuisance activity. It is very trying and inexplicable.
On those days she thinks there may be a full moon. Maybe she's right.
