We have another new out of town shopping centre

This one is on the site of the closed Corton Wood Colliery.  We've been DIY and supermarket shopping here for a lot of years but now the shopping centre has been enlarged and there are lots of new stores (all very American as it seems to encourage you to drive from one car-park to the next).  This new development is approximately 7 or 8 miles away from the huge Meadowhall shopping centre.  Then we have the Fox Valley shopping centre at Stocksbridge,  which is about 3 miles away from us.  So now three shopping centres within driving distance - how do the town and city shops survive?

We tried to make the most of it and after buying two half price shirts for summer walking at Mountain Warehouse, we then bought treats at M & S for our meal tonight.  So far though I'm the only one who's eaten (well at home).  Ann is currently out on a mission of mercy, so I hope she manages to resolve the difficulty without too many problems.  I fear it won't be that easy!
