Crossing the River Dee
This was the last of 4 runs into Llangollen. I had been volunteering as TTI again today - another special timetable, it being Diesel Day.
The train is being hauled by a Class 26, which had been heading up the train I was rostered on all day. However, the 4th round trip was "top and tailed", with a Class 31 at the other end of the train. This allowed us to traverse the line westwards from Carrog to the current railhead, about half way between Carrog and Corwen. This was my 2nd trip along the "extension", and it is exciting to travel West out of Carrog, and arrive back from the West! When funds allow, the line will extend to Corwen, which we all hope won't be too long.
