Muddy Water

The Waimakariri River was high and dirty today. I’ve seen it higher, with no ridges or shingle banks showing, but there was a lot of mud in it. Somewhere a lot of earth is being washed away.

This is the upstream view taken from the Waimakariri Gorge Bridge. In extra shots is the downstream view, and looking down on the river. It looks to me like grubby fudge.
