Opportunists

        Here I was thinking the hounds were outside playing but we'd left our bedroom door open - a silly mistake.  You'd think we'd know by now that was an open invitation to make themselves comfortable in our bed.  
       That led to even more silliness. Seeing them so comfortable in the wide open spaces of our bed we decided they needed a new one. Up until now they have each had their own bed but always end up squashed together in one. We took them to the Leura Doggie Store to choose a new bed big enough for both of them. 
       I'm sure the woman in the shop thought we were ridiculously indulgent. Our method of choosing was to spread out a range of beds on the floor and see which one they curled up on.
       We tossed the new bed on the floor when we got home. Maddie hopped in and went straight to sleep, but Scarlett climbed up on to the back of the couch and passed out there. 
       Silly purchase? Time will tell.
