Moira Terrace
The Cigs Hotline has been busy this week; plenty of anonymous tip offs. Some not so anonymous too.
2 positive leads were fielded from 'Bill' and 'Anth' - we'll use those names because -errr - that's who they are! Both spotting the Cigs flatbed truck originally flagged up by wingpig at the start of this year. But in different locations. One spotted it on Moira Terrace, one spotted it on Durham Road.
After a morning looking at Spanish bolthole possibilities I had to head homeward and figured I oughtta try for the newly painted one on Brunswick Road so off I went. And whilst I was there, it seemed a good idea to just check the velodrome and from the there it really wasnt that far to Durham Road. I checked up and down the street but no sign.
Turning into the headwind, I ploughed back up towards town and off in the distance I knew I had it in my sights, outside the church on the corner of Kekewich Avenue. All my hard work was not in vain.
So a spotter's credit to Bill (Anth, I will still continue to try for Durham Road; I'll be passing on Sunday for another look) and a well earned beer for me after another 40 km in the pursuit of my quarry.
