Chiavenna

The weather is often very localised in this area, and it is sometimes easy to travel not very far and find very different weather.

As the weather was not great in Lenno this morning we decided to drive up the lake, and eventually on to Chiavenna in the foothills of the pass into Switzerland.

We may have chosen the wrong direction on this occasion. The weather was worse as we headed north. Rain in Chiavenna, but we still managed a walk around this picturesque pre Alpine town.

We headed back late afternoon to find clear sky and sunshine in Lenno, though not until late afternoon.
