Love Is...

A wedding day celebration full of light and love, played out against the beautiful surroundings of Meldrum House Hotel. But as much as that historic wonderful old house lent a lovely feel to the day, it was the couple at the heart of it, and their family and friends, that made it a day to remember. And right at the centre of it, Irina the bride, a quite spectacular woman brimming with talent, kindness and beauty, she shone so very brightly all through the celebrations. The ceremony was centred on love and family, gently weaving in traditional Romanian and Scottish traditions and beliefs. And oh but hearing Irina speak her vows in her native tongue was wonderful.

The relaxed and friendly guests were comfortable companions throughout the day as we nibbled on canapes, listened to the heartfelt speeches, ate heartily and danced the night away, all taken care of by the friendly, low key hotel staff.

It was also a treat to talk up a storm with so many former RGU colleagues, to catch up on their comings and goings and meet their partners. They all made Dave so very welcome, chatting away with him. Special shout out goes to Liam and his dancing shoes, always nice to have a dancing partner to let go to Tina Turner's Proud Mary!

But the day belongs to the newly weds, Irina and Gary, whose ceremony and infectious happiness throughout the day, reminded us how wonderful love is...and that marriage is such a great excuse for a party!
