Swan on the Kennet and Avon Canal

Spent the day at Kintbury and after lunch at the Dundas Arms we went for a walk along the side of the canal.

Standing on a bridge by a lock, watching two barges move through the lock, we saw this swan who had hitched a ride in the lock.  My second shot shows her (?) making her way along once the lock gates had been opened.

We continued on our walk and then turned back.  As we approached the end this head appeared over the edge of the canal.  Quite a character and I think hoping we might have some sustenance to share!
