He was hiding in the folds of the table umbrella . . . and fell out onto the glass table when Steve opened it. He stayed there for quite a while and posed very nicely for a photo shoot with me ;0) Look at his toe pads.

This is an invasive species called a Cuban Treefrog. I have not seen too many of them on our property, but I have read about how they are likely to harm the local ecosystem. Too bad, they are quite interesting!
