Day 1

Heading north to a wee almost non existent place called Balchrick in Sutherland.
Chicken Lady had to stop off at Perth airport to pick up some paperwork from the Air Ambulance where she used to be based.
Unfortunately (for someone) they had had to go out on an emergency so I wasn't able to have a look around the helicopter..... but I did make use of their weather checking system.
I used the same method as we crossed the Culbokie Bridge on the Cromarty Firth.

As we neared our destination we met up with some of the others of our group and I took the opportunity to get a couple of shots of the remains of a house with a marvelous view. Such an unfortunate end.

Luckily one of the others knew exactly where we were going (it belongs to his sister) - it would not be easy to find by house number ..... up well over 100 in an area that looked like there were about 20 houses!

The cottage is lovely. It is a second home and not up for rent which means it is full of the things that make it a friendly home. This was the view from my 'bedroom' ..........the livingroom.
