the veteran

at the commemoration of 77th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.   

I've had a day of doing as I please. 
I have finished one book and read three quarters of another. 
Trotted up to the aerodrome for the Battle of Britain parade and wreath laying.  
Pampered myself with a  full body/face/hair mud pack kind of thing. Made a right old mess so have  had to give the bathroom a good old scrub too.     

I am feeling nicely cleansed and silky.      
I will shortly be stuffing a marrow and later will no doubt be compelled to glug down a tot or 5 of something.       

does that last sentence sound a bit dodgy...?
