Jim is very into Harry Potter and he was delighted early this morning when he found a pile of contorted hazel branches that we'd trimmed off the tree last week. He decided he wanted to make a wand and he sorted through them until he found a branch that had knobbly twisty bits in all the right places. He's left it with me so I can varnish it for him.

Both him and Tom have had a lovely day. Tom, still sorting through music, discovered The Animals 'House of the Rising Sun' this afternoon and he loved it.
