Waterproof

Another day that started out fine, but ended up with heavy showers. I drove out to the Waterside Garden Centre to meet up with a couple of botanists over coffee and cake. A couple of hours  soon passed discussing progress in South Lincolnshire. I had intended to do some recording on the way back, but the weather had other ideas and it started raining almost as soon as we left the cafe. So it was straight back home.

I spotted this Green Shield-bug sitting in our baby oak tree when I returned from my second trip of the day, to Sainsbury's.  With its waterproof exoskeleton it  didn't seem at all bothered by the heavy showers.
