Insect Magnet

We both slept 10 hours last night.....:-D
Nothing to do with the red wine we had ;-)

The weather this morning was nothing like as nice as the forecast said.....quite heavy cloud and showery.

We had arranged to visit daughter and Emily mid morning, called at Lidl for a fresh brown crusty cob, a newspaper and some coleslaw......they had only been open 30 minutes when we got there, no brown loaves, just loads of white stuff :-(

We spent a lovely couple of hours at daughters, we all played Labrynth, Emily got the game for her birthday, she won too, and its not an easy game, requires forward thinking. Emilys dad called to collect her at midday, its always nice to see him.

On our way home called at the farm for some fresh eggs, so I could make scramled eggs on toast for lunch, always a fav of ours. Weve had a pretty lazy afternoon.....Ive been ordering more C*******s presents for the girls, need to be ahead when you lose a month to holidays ;-)

Watched my team on tv this afternoon, another good win, eventually! The weather has improved this afternoon, more blue sky and a chance for another garden blip Im afraid! The verbena bonarensis is still attracting the pollen loving insects thankfully!!

Theres a lovely aroma of roast chicken with thyme, lemon and garlic wafting through from the kitchen........a simple dinner of mashed potatoes, runner beans, aspargus and gravy coming up pretty soon.

Another new week is upon us, half way through September already, I wish time would stop rushing by so fast!
