Eight And A Half

The first time I heard this man play,  I asked to see his hands when he had finished because I was sure he had extra fingers to be able to play the way he does.  When he showed me his hands, I found that he didn't have extra fingers---he had less!  He had lost one and a half fingers to an accident with a saw.  I wish that you could have heard him play the offertory this morning--it was spectacular and so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.  I liked this shot because you can see the care and feeling he has as he touches the keys---and, believe me, he plays them all!
