Memory

For the Mono Monday challenge of a favourite memory l had to decide between a photograph or an artefact.

Got out the box of old snaps and came across this forgotten photograph and what a favourite memory it aroused.
Thirty five years ago (about half the age l am now)and we had both run a personal best in a half marathon in York.
It was a cold winter day with heavy frost on the ground and l had stomach cramps because l'd stupidly gulped some ice cold water in the last mile.
Behind us is our old VW camper van.
We and our two children travelled to every race and holiday in it.
We'd park up and on would go the kettle.
Such great days even though we didn't have much money we were fit, healthy and happy.
