Upside down lunching

Between heavy showers, this little Willow Tit was pulling out the sunflower seeds in the garden today. This year we have had a poor crop with the prolonged dry spring so I hope he has enough to keep him going.

Looking forward to seeing our dinner guests from Canada this evening, an ex-colleague and her fella. We did a lot of mountains together 25 years and more ago before she moved to Canada. Mountaineering friendships last forever, you learn who people are in in the mountains, in both good situations, and especially, in more difficult situations.
