99 springs for 99 Yews

So the story goes in the manicured churchyard at Painswick Church. And a promise that the devil would destroy the hundredth if this concept was betrayed. Anyway ' they' added another to celebrate the Millennium and it's still alive alongside its 300 year old cousins. They were planted alongside pathways to the church with this one, I think , to the Lychgate where coffins were rested.
We used to live near here many years ago ( before the 100th Yew) and revisited today with friends and enjoyed!
