Everyday I Write The Book

Rain stops play

So we had a relaxed start to the day; it was nice not to have to get up at six am for work, and the cats were well behaved. Well, until Dylan got bored and tried to pick a fight with Monty, who (uncharacteristiclly) decided to fight back. Dylan then tried to pick a fight wth his three legged brother, which always ends in tears.

The good news was that I managed to get my LUMIX working; I think it was playing up because of dirt in the extending lens so I decided to be more careful in future and improvised a plastic cap on the inside of the leather case to reduce the risk of it happening again.

I said to TSM that I had been surprised how well I had been the previous day and had not got tired despite it all being very full on; of course it just caught up with me today. But we went up to London in the afternoon and had another look around the Design Museum and then did some shopping before eating in Wholefoods. After that it was up to Regents Park where we had coffee and cake before going to see Jesus Christ Superstar in the open air theatre.

Well ... not quite. They had to stop with about twenty minutes to go because it rained. Bummer. So I didn't get to see the end. (SPOILER ALERT - TSM tells me he dies ... )

I really enjoyed it and was philosophical about losing out on the finale, but TSM was very upset. She has strong childhood connections with that musical. Funny how little things can mean so much to us. That's being human for you ...

I had just enough time to watch Episode 6 of Game of Thrones before it disappeared from Now TV when we got back. The Dizzle and Ms D presented me with an early birthday present as they both have early starts tomorrow.

So all in all a great day ... and tomorrow I am 59. Oh and it is international Talk Like A Pirate Day... Arrgh!
