It's time.....
..... to close the door
Turn the lock
We won't be in tonight
Street lights gently flicker in the dark of the night
We've said our farewell's
A new path unfolds
Our memories held close to our hearts
The house is ready for new dreams and celebrations, the garden vibrant with colour as camellia's grace the fenceline, it's all looking fresh and welcoming, let's hope the new owners will be as happy as my in-laws were.
To the grandchildren, there were good times and sad, family gatherings, birthdays and Christmas, remember your Wairarapa connections. If you're fortunate to have children bring them and share some of the things you did with Gran and Grandad, as these times become part of their family history.
Over the last few weeks I've appreciated the love and support from you all, thank you. There's been highs and lows as we've found collections of various kinds and learnt a few things we didn't know before - it's been a journey.
I'll leave you with a quote I found on my mother-in-law's fridge, the photo is in extra's:
'Joined in heart,
may the 2 of us
never part'
Forever together.......Rest in peace
