Betsey found a new friend
Another interesting and fun day in Massachusetts.
Early breakfast. Left the house around 7 30am to drive into Boston. Lots of traffic but no real hold ups. T went to work and Betsey and I headed to where the Duck Tour started. We went on the Duck Tour that left at 9.20am. The WW2 duck boat started by going around the streets of Boston and the guide ( whose name was The Codfather ) pointed out places of interest. Then we went into the Charles River for a while before returning to the starting point. We both enjoyed the tour a lot. A first for both of us.
Then a bit of shopping. Some souvenirs of Boston were purchased. Then it was time for lunch. We went to Quincy Market where there are many food outlets selling every type of food you could imagine. We chose a " Managers Special " of lobster roll, clam chowder (or should I say chowda), pkt of crackers and diet cola. Delicious.
More shopping then a walk through Boston Common and the park. Weather was warmish but a bit drizzly at times.
My blip shot shows Betsey beside the statue of Arnold " Red" Auerbach - coach and manager of The Boston Celtics basketball team. He helped bring 15 world championships to Boston.
We met up with T when she finished work and headed for home. Had takeaway pizza which was delicious.
If you look at Betseys blip ( justbe) she has added links to lots of photos of our day.
I have a cat sitter lady coming in to feed Tino and Lily and she has been posting photos of Tino on Facebook. However little Lily had not made an appearance. So Neil called in today and she came out of hiding. So pleased that she could see a familiar face. She doesn't like strangers so its a worry when I'm away from home.
Had lots of busy days so tomorrow is going to be a quieter one staying local
