Banksia Seeds...

... or lack thereof. 

This banksia was enabled to release its seeds and so produce new life in the July 2015 bush fire. Some Australian indigenous plants rely on fire for this purpose. So whilst bush fires can be a threat to homes, human lives and indigenous wildlife (as was the case in this fire), "IT IS ALL RELATIVE" and from the perspective of indigenous plants such as this banksia, it is vital for survival.
