Pohutu Geyser

is the main geyser left in Te Whakarewarewa Valley at Te Puia.   It erupts up to 20 times a day, spurting up to 30 metres high.  Our U3A photography group visited here today and were lucky enough to see it performing at its best.  Te Puia is also the home of the National Weaving School and The National Carving School and is always fascinating to visit. The extra is of  boiling water dripping off the silica.
