Fran Williamson

This afternoon we have been up into the village to go to the 38th Soham pumpkin fair.

The theme this year was to celebrate the Diamond jubilee and the Olympics.
To open the fair was Fran Williamson a Paralympian athelete, now retired she brought along her medals from the World Championship and Paralympic games in Beijing, 2008.

There wasnt as many pumpkins on display this year as the bad weather that we had over the summer has affected the pumpkins. Inside the Pavillian they had a display of medals that the cubs had made, plus diamond jubilee themed cakes, olympic style fruit displays as well as jam and flower displays.
