Signs of autumn
...from the back step
Leaves burning
Cat digging holes
in bare soil
Where once the beans grew tall
Ay mi! Nursery Tuesdays are interesting. We are going to have our work cut out. And possibly our noses bitten off. We couldn't get out into the sunshine this morning because someone did not have a push chair. I hope this afternoon they got out.
Our new WEA class started. Bigger room, more space and and opportunities to take a break outside at half time. Someone hadn't brought the tea, though. Wailing, gnashing of teeth, etc, but we survived. Spirit of Dunkirk and all that! We are now looking at the literature and social history of the 1970s. Ah, at last I'll remember something! I don't have too many pre-1970 memories.
Someone wants me to go back to a care home in Bath to sell Christmas cards in November. My contacts made last year are paying off, I haven't had to do as much running around this year in order to fill the diary. Phoenix trading, the card comosny, has closed, but there's a new company called Flamingo Paperie coming along, so there will be a Christmas this year, after all.
