Nellie's

This old home is situated in Denman a small village some 30km from home. An old lady named Nellie and her son lived in this home under horrific conditions for many years until she moved into the Aged Care Hostel I was the CEO of. The change in Nellie once in the Hostel was remarkable.

Another son owns the adjoining property and no doubt wants to demolish it however I understand there is some sort of heritage order on it. The floors are dirt and the walls are just the timber  and iron on the outside. 

Nellie died not long after I retired however she enjoyed 6 years at the Hostel.Interestingly enough the garbage bins are still on the verandah and the house hasn't been vandalised.
